Check for Onboard Programming

Prepare the Vehicle
 

• Enter the vehicle and close all doors.
• Ensure all electronics and lights are turned off.

 
Program the Key Fob (Using Onboard Method)
 

• Insert the existing working key into the ignition and turn it to the "ON" position without starting the car.
• Press and hold the "UNLOCK" button on the key fob for 4-10 seconds.
• While still holding the "UNLOCK" button, press and hold the "PANIC" button for 1 second, then release both buttons simultaneously.
• Wait for the car to enter programming mode, typically indicated by a chime or the door locks cycling.
• Within 30 seconds, press "LOCK" and "UNLOCK" on the new key fob simultaneously, then release both buttons at the same time.
• Press either button to complete the programming process. The door locks should cycle to indicate successful programming.

 
Test the New Key Fob
 

• Exit programming mode by turning the ignition to "OFF" and removing the key.
• Test the new key fob by pressing the "LOCK" and "UNLOCK" buttons to ensure they function correctly.
