1. Preparation
 

• Ensure the vehicle is on a flat, level surface.
• Make sure all tires are inflated to the recommended pressure.
• Ensure the vehicle's battery is fully charged.
• Grab any necessary calibration tools or software, such as VCDS (VAG-COM Diagnostic System).

2. Connect Diagnostic Tool
 

• Connect the diagnostic tool to the OBD-II port, located under the dashboard on the driver’s side.
• Power on the diagnostic tool and turn the vehicle ignition to the "ON" position, without starting the engine.

3. Navigate to Adaptive Cruise Control Module
 

• Access the control module menu on your diagnostic tool.
• Select the "Adaptive Cruise Control" (ACC) module. This is typically listed under the ABS/Brakes or Driver Assistance sections.

4. Initiate Calibration
 

• Within the ACC module menu, look for the "Basic Settings" or "Calibration" option.
• Follow the on-screen instructions to calibrate the system. This may involve setting the vehicle to certain conditions, such as maintaining specific speeds or stopping completely.

5. Perform Dynamic Calibration
 

• Take the vehicle for a short drive, typically 15 minutes, in a safe environment at a range of speeds.
• The ACC system will self-calibrate during this drive. Ensure that road conditions and traffic allow for the ACC to operate without interference.

6. Confirm Calibration
 

• Once the dynamic calibration is complete, return to your starting point.
• Reconnect the diagnostic tool, and verify the ACC module has no error codes.
• If any error codes are present, address them as per the diagnostic tool's suggestions or consult the Audi service manual.

7. Test the System
 

• Take the vehicle for another drive and engage the adaptive cruise control.
• Ensure the system maintains speed, adjusts for other vehicles, and responds to changes in traffic as expected.

8. Finalize
 

• Disconnect the diagnostic tool.
• Turn off the vehicle and ensure all systems are functioning properly.
