Learn how to adjust the Road Departure Mitigation system on a 2021 Honda CR-V. Follow simple step-by-step instructions for a safer driving experience.

Access the Settings Menu

Start your 2021 Honda CR-V and ensure it's in Park (P).
Press the Home button located on the steering wheel to access the main menu on the Display Audio screen.
From the main menu, select the "Settings" option.

Navigate to Driver Assist System Setup

Once in the Settings menu, scroll down and select "Vehicle."
In the Vehicle menu, choose "Driver Assist System Setup."

Adjust the Road Departure Mitigation Settings

Within the Driver Assist System Setup menu, locate and select "Road Departure Mitigation Setting."
In this menu, you can turn the system on or off, as well as adjust the sensitivity.
To change the sensitivity, select "Sensitivity" and choose either "Normal" or "Wide."
"Normal" will provide standard assistance while "Wide" will allow for more lenient boundaries before the system activates.

Verify Settings

Return to the main screen to ensure the settings have been updated and saved.
It may be beneficial to take a short drive to ensure that the Road Departure Mitigation system is functioning as desired.
