Step 2: Locate the glove box
The cabin air filter in a 2017 Honda CR-V is located behind the glove box. Sit in the passenger seat and open the glove box to access it.

Slide the old cabin air filter out of the housing. Pay attention to the direction of the airflow arrows indicated on the filter, as you will need to install the new filter in the same direction.
Step 9: Install the new cabin air filter
Take your new cabin air filter and ensure the airflow arrows are pointing in the correct direction. Insert the new filter into the housing, making sure it fits snugly.
Step 10: Replace the cabin air filter cover
Reattach the cabin air filter cover by lining up the tabs and snapping it back into place.
Step 11: Reattach the glove box stops
Lift the glove box back into its original closed position and push the sides in to re-engage the stops.
Step 12: Reconnect the damper arm
Reconnect the damper arm to the side of the glove box.
Step 13: Close the glove box
Close the glove box and ensure it is securely latched. Return all items you had removed during the process.
Step 14: Test the new filter
Turn on your vehicle and switch on the air conditioning or heater to ensure proper airflow through the new cabin air filter.
