Step 1: Gather the Necessary Tools
 

• Small flat-head screwdriver or a coin
• Replacement battery (CR2032 is commonly used for Toyota Camry key fobs)

 
Step 2: Open the Key Fob
 

• Start by removing the manual key housed inside the fob. Locate the small button or latch on the side of the key fob. Press it, and you will be able to pull out the manual key.
• Once the manual key is removed, you will see a small opening or slot in the key fob. Insert the flat-head screwdriver or coin into this slot.
• Gently twist the tool until the two halves of the key fob case begin to separate.
• Work your way around the edge to fully open the fob. Be cautious and gentle to ensure you do not damage the plastic casing.

 
Step 3: Replace the Battery
 

• Once the fob is open, locate the battery. Note how the battery is positioned, including the positive (+) and negative (-) sides.
• Carefully remove the old battery, often by pressing on it lightly and lifting it out.
• Take your new CR2032 battery and insert it in the same orientation as the old one, ensuring that the positive side is facing the correct way.

 
Step 4: Reassemble the Key Fob
 

• Bring the two halves of the key fob back together. Align them properly so that the buttons are positioned correctly.
• Press the halves back together firmly until you hear a click, indicating that the fob is secured.

 
Step 5: Test the Key Fob
 

• Insert the manual key back into the fob.
• Test the key fob by pressing the buttons to ensure that it is functioning properly.
• If it doesn’t work, double-check the battery placement and ensure that the fob is properly closed.
